We strongly encourage you to enter QX races early and not to leave it to the last minute or even on the day.

This will save you money on entry fees and it will help us with planning the event by giving us a better idea of the number of people likely to take part.

All races have a strict upper limit on the number of participants allowed and no entries will be accepted once the entry limit has been reached.

Entry Fees

Standard entry fees are applicable up to 28 days before the race. After this last minute entry fees shall apply until online entries close one week before race day. Entry on the day will only be permitted if the entry limit has not been reached. The on-the-day entry fee will apply to all entries not made online, and all those made less than one week before the race and any made on the day of the race itself.

Many of the costs incurred are the same irrespective of whether you do the long or the short course. Hence entry fees are the same for both the long and the short courses. This also makes it easier for you to swap between courses should you change your mind as to which course length you wish to do.

What's Included?

Apart from taking part in your chosen QX race, your entry fee includes the following:

- entry handling fees and/or online entry and payment transaction fees
- car parking
- toilets
- race number(s) & fastenings
- course fees
- course markings and/or marshals
- water point(s)
- on site first aid & safety cover
- race timing & results service
- a finishers memento
- winners prizes
and last but not least...
- VAT (to keep the tax man happy)!

The list above is a generic list that applies to both QX Off Road Duathlons and QX Trail Runs. Additional things may be included in the Off Road Duathlon entry fees. Please see the relevant race page for further details and a definitive list of everything that's included in the entry fee for that particular race.

How To Enter

You can enter QX races online. The online entry process is quick, simple and easy to use.

When you enter for the first time on the Quest online entry system your details will be safely and securely stored. This will enable you to retrieve your details when you enter other races in the future, thus saving you from having to re-enter all your details each time you enter a race. Other benefits mean you can update and amend your entry after it has been made and pay for more than one entry at a time.

Once you have completed your entry details, you will have a choice of saving your entry details or paying for your entry.

Note: You will not be entered into the race until full payment has been received

If you wish to make more than one race entry and pay for your entries altogether it's best to save your details and pay later. You can then complete the details of the next entry you wish to make. Once the details of all the entries you wish to make have been saved, log in to your account to pay for them altogether.

When you go to pay you will be forwarded to WorldPay's secure online payment and card processing website where you will be able to pay for your race entry / entries.

Upon successful completion of your payment transaction you will be sent an automatic entry confirmation email.

If you experience an error using the online entry system, please contact us. For payment queries please have your WorldPay transaction ID handy if you have one.

Please note no information or race numbers will be sent out via post. Final details will be published on the QX website one week before the race and an email update will be sent to all confirmed race entrants. Race numbers need to be collected on the day from the registration desk.

Entry Requirements

All QX races are suitable for all abilities so their are no specific entry requirements other than the age limits detailed below.

• Short course - You must be over 16 years old on the day of the event.
• Long course - You must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event.

Short courses are aimed at sprint distance and novice multi-sport competitors, while long courses tend to be multi-lap races geared towards the more experienced and endurance athletes.

Refunds & Transfers

Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds on any entry payments. Instead we are happy to transfer your entry to a future QX race providing you give us sufficient notice.

If you are ill, injured or wish to transfer your race entry to another QX event, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it using subject title ‘QX Transfers’ at least two weeks prior to the race that you are entered into.

We hereby fully understand that some of the events organised by Quest and in which we will be participating may include an element of personal risk.

We therefore understand and hereby state that we participate in all such events with Quest entirely at our own risk and we hereby acknowledge that Quest and its employees, directors and shareholders shall have no responsibility or liability of any nature whatsoever in respect of our participation in any Quest events.

We declare ourselves medically fit and we grant Quest the right to use any photographs that contain our images taken at a QX event, including for marketing purposes in any medium.

Quest is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully and in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. Quest is the sole owner of any information collected. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from that disclosed in this statement.

We give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us whenever you enter personal data. Your data will by default be stored in our customer relations management system to help us provide you with a more efficient and personal service.
